Tenable is seeking a senior software engineer in the United States to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high‑performance systems. You will collaborate with product managers and architects to deliver robust, standards‑driven solutions that impact exposure management.

We require 6+ years of software engineering experience and proficiency with C/C++, C#, Java, Go, or Python, plus hands‑on cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Qualifications

• BSc in Computer Science or related field or strong server‑side development track record.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience on large‑scale projects.
• Proficiency in one or more of C/C++, C#, Java, Go, or Python.
• Experience building scalable, distributed systems and API design.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex, scalable, high‑performance systems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement technical solutions.
• Provide input on architectural design and long‑term maintainability.
• Identify and troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Contribute to code reviews and foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Participate in design and development of new features, integrations, and enhancements.
