Job summary

Rokt is hiring Senior Software Engineers to design, build, and maintain scalable services behind its ecommerce platform. You will work across core platform teams to support billions of transactions yearly, with emphasis on performance, reliability, and observability.

Responsibilities include leading architectural decisions, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to align with business objectives. Hybrid in-office schedule with some remote work is supported.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in commercial software development, designing, building, and operating distributed systems in Go, Scala, Java, C#, or TypeScript.
• Experience taking code to production and operating it.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and containerisation/orchestration tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve scalable services with ultra high-throughput.
• Write high quality, maintainable code in Go, Scala, Java, C#, or TypeScript.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, optimize performance, and maintain reliability.
• Drive performance optimizations to improve latency and cost.
• Own architectural decisions and contribute to system design reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and set technical direction on scalability and observability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align delivery with business goals.
• Manage priorities and deadlines, operating with autonomy.
• Participate in on-call rotations and own systems end to end.
