Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and accelerate Salesforce-driven capabilities. You will customize, develop, and support Force.com solutions, build integrations with internal systems, and extend Salesforce with Apex, LWC, Visualforce, and flows.

You will mentor teammates, document processes, maintain deployment-ready code, and stay current with Salesforce releases. This hybrid role requires reporting to the local GM office three days a week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Experience with Salesforce customization and integrations.
• Extensive work with Apex, Lightning components, and related Salesforce tooling.

Responsibilities

• Document and analyze processes procedures and ensure code is properly documented.
• Create and maintain a code repository to ensure a seamless deployment process for all team members.
• Stay current on the latest trends and Salesforce releases.

Job DescriptionDUTIES: Work in a fast-paced environment with business technology and designers to build new capabilities platforms features and improving existing capabilities. Responsible for customizing, developing, and supporting solutions on the force.com platform. Drive Salesforce enhancements and improvements. Build integrations between salesforce and other internal systems to automate business processes. Develop Apex (classes and triggers) and Java Script, Lightning Components, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce Flows, Omni Script, and Flex Cards to extend Salesforce. Verify solutions by writing and executing automated test classes. Collaborate, mentor, and guide other engineers within the team. Well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively. Document and analyze processes procedures and ensure code is properly documented. Create and maintain a code repository to ensure a seamless deployment process for all team members. Stay current on the latest trends and Salesforce releases. Self-directed, can solve business problems from inception to implementation, can solve business problems without explicit direction. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field of study. Five (5) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Technical Consultant, System Engineer, or related occupation. Five (5) years of experience in the following: Software Development; Object oriented design patterns; Database concepts and data modeling design; and Modeling and application design and architecture.
