Job summary

General Motors (GM) is seeking a Software Engineer/Salesforce Developer to build and customize Salesforce solutions on the Force.com platform. The role involves developing Apex and JavaScript Lightning components, building integrations, and deploying robust automated tests.

You will collaborate with business tech and designers, mentor teammates, and ensure proper documentation and deployment practices. The position follows a hybrid policy with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer or Salesforce Developer, or Master’s with three (3) years; or two (2) years for a more junior path.
• Proficiency with Force.com Apex, Lightning UI, and Salesforce data/query tools; knowledge of security models and design patterns.
• Experience designing and delivering large-scale Salesforce solutions including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and integrations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and customize Salesforce solutions on the Force.com platform.
• Build integrations between Salesforce and internal systems to automate business processes.
• Develop Apex and JavaScript Lightning components, LWC, Visualforce, Flows, Omni Script, and Flex Cards.
• Verify solutions by writing and executing automated tests and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate, mentor, and guide team engineers; maintain a robust code repository and deployment process.

Job DescriptionDUTIES : Work in a fast-paced environment with business technology and designers to build new capabilities platforms features and improving existing capabilities. Responsible for customizing developing and supporting solutions on the force.com platform. Drive salesforce enhancements and improvements. Build integrations between salesforce and other internal systems to automate business processes. Develop Apex and Java Script lightning components lightning web components visualforce flows omni script and flex cards to extend Salesforce. Verify solutions by writing and executing automated test classes. Collaborate mentor and guide other engineers within the team. Document and analyze processes procedures and ensure code is properly documented. Create and maintain a code repository to ensure a seamless deployment process for all team members. Stay current on the latest trends and Salesforce releases. Self-directed can solve business problems from inception to implementation can solve business problems without explicit direction. Two (2) years of experience in the following: Programming and configuring with Force.com Apex including classes and triggers, lightning components, lightning Web Components, Visualforce Flows, Omni Script, Flex Cards, JavaScript (ES6), and ReactJS; Software Development; Designing and developing large scale technology solutions with insights into Salesforce Sales Cloud Service Cloud; Salesforce SOQL, and SOSL security model Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Chatter, and Force.com product offerings; and Design experience in Salesforce lightning UI and user-based security models.
