Job summary

Workato is seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join our growing team. You will build API interfaces and backend infrastructure and collaborate with UI, connectivity and DevOps teams to deliver elegant solutions to complex problems.

Responsibilities include building complex Rails applications, server-side infrastructure for the UI, and contributing across the software lifecycle with well-designed, testable code, while evaluating improvements and pursuing architectural excellence.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
• 7+ years of experience developing, shipping and maintaining Rails applications.
• Strong knowledge of Ruby.
• Excellent debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and social skills.
• Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming and design.
• Experience with relational database systems (PostgreSQL) and Redis-based / Memcached caching.
• Contributions to open-source projects are a plus.
