Job summary

Seccl, the embedded investment platform backed by Octopus, is seeking a senior engineer for a 6‑month role. You will design, build and operate reliable software using TypeScript and Node.js, delivering resilient financial workflow systems.

You will act as a go‑to expert within an autonomous squad, maintaining high standards of quality and speed. You’ll work in a remote UK setup, collaborating across tribes to scale the platform and support multi‑region needs.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience with AWS and Serverless products.
• Experience with document databases, ideally MongoDB.
• Experience mentoring engineers in a build‑and‑run model.
• Experience in regulated industries, ideally financial services or FinTech.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively in a domain aligned cross‑functional squad.
• Design, implement and operate services within your domain.
• Be accountable for SLAs and iterative improvements.
• Maintain and extend documentation for your services.
• Foster continuous improvement and technical excellence.
• Provide guidance and mentorship for other engineers.
