Job summary

capitalontap is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build financial products for US and UK small businesses. You will own features from problem framing to deployment, with focus on reliability and performance in a cross-functional team.

You’ll work with C#, .NET, SQL Server, and front-end tech like React/TypeScript, contribute to testing, architecture decisions, and mentoring other engineers in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience with C#, .NET, and SQL Server.
• Front-end experience with React and TypeScript preferred.
• Strong unit and integration testing practices.
• Broad engineering understanding including distributed systems.
• Ownership, sound judgement, and ambiguity handling.
• Clear communication in agile, cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, scalable services and applications using .NET.
• Own solutions across the software development lifecycle, including production support.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and technical direction.
• Partner with Product and QA for planning and delivery.
• Build comprehensive unit and integration tests and maintain code quality.
• Explain technical decisions to diverse stakeholders and mentor engineers.
