Job summary

Stord Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build scalable web applications and services. You’ll own features end-to-end, collaborating with product, design, and other engineers to deliver robust solutions.

You’ll work across the stack with TypeScript, Node.js, React, and cloud platforms (GCP), tackling large datasets and high-demand traffic while mentoring teammates and championing best practices in code quality and testing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with modern web development focus.
• Experience architecting and implementing complex distributed production systems.
• Strong understanding of full-stack design and scalable system principles.
• Experience with full-stack TypeScript products including Node.js and React.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure systems across the stack.
• Tackle complex technical challenges and drive innovative solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous learning.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and stakeholders to define and prioritize work.
• Own features from ideation to deployment, including backend services.
• Support cross-team efforts to scale processes, tools, and technologies.
