Job summary

Stord is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help scale our commerce platform. You will own features end‑to‑end, building robust backend services in TypeScript and collaborating with frontend work in React.

You will shape architecture for high‑volume, distributed systems central to our 3PL and logistics initiatives. The role emphasizes owning solutions from design through deployment, mentoring teammates, and driving best practices in code quality, testing, and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with modern web development.
• Proven ability to architect and implement distributed systems in production.
• Strong full-stack design and scalability fundamentals.
• Experience with TypeScript-based stacks including Node.js and React.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably GCP.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure web systems.
• Tackle cross-cutting technical challenges across the stack.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers to raise team capabilities.
• Collaborate with product, design, and other stakeholders to plan work.
• Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, and DevOps practices.
• Own features from ideation to deployment, shaping specs and backend services.
• Contribute to scaling processes, tools, and technologies across teams.
