Job summary

Striveworks is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build trusted AI systems in a remote or hybrid Austin setting. You will contribute high‑quality Go and Python code, work on hexagonal, event‑driven microservices, and help advance our AI models and algorithms.

You should have 6–8 years of hands‑on development, strong cloud experience (OpenStack, commercial clouds), and the ability to lead the software delivery lifecycle while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or similar experience.
• 6–8 years hands-on development experience.
• Excellence in Go, C++ (17+), Java (11+), C# (9+), or Rust.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, Git, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Proven experience with cloud architecture: commercial cloud, OpenStack.
• Experience in design and development of performant, scalable services.
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases.
• Ability to lead cross-functional design discussions.
• Ability to independently lead the software development life cycle, from requirements to deployment.
• Experience in mentoring and coaching junior engineers.
• Strong understanding of OO, design patterns, documentation, and agile methodologies.
• US citizenship with eligibility for Secret clearance
