Cribl is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Stream Control Plane team in a fully remote role. You will help build scalable, reliable software for Cribl Stream across distributed nodes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into practical designs.
The role emphasizes production-grade development, cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure), and hands-on delivery of customer-facing features.
Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of industry experience, or MS in Computer Science
- Strong hands-on software development for production systems and customer-facing features
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with REST or RPC APIs and production services
Responsibilities
- Build scalable, reliable software for Cribl Stream's control plane
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to turn requirements into designs and implementations
- Develop, test, and maintain robust code that delivers customer value
- Use AI-assisted tools to improve productivity, code quality, and customer outcomes
- Create automated tests and test plans to ensure product quality, reliability, and maintainability
- Contribute to engineering best practices, operational excellence, and customer focus
- Identify and implement performance, scalability, and developer efficiency improvements
- Support SaaS offerings and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation
- Assist with stand-by or off-hours responsibilities as needed
