Cribl, Inc. is hiring a Backend Engineer to help set the technical direction for Core Platform. You will work with engineers and product managers to design, develop, and deliver scalable backend services that process large data sets in real time.

The role is fully remote with a remote-first culture. You will own features end‑to‑end and contribute to internal tools, testing, and performance enhancements across a distributed system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Solid CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, basic networking and OS concepts.
• Experience building products that leverage large scale data sets (Node.js/Typescript).
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and scalability principles.
• Security-conscious mindset and on-call readiness.
• Experience with Agile processes and rapid iterative development.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for backend systems and APIs handling ingesting, processing, and routing data.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust code for customers.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to translate feature specs into code.
