Reddit, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Home Experience team, focused on the feeds for Reddit’s apps and website. You’ll work remotely across the United States, collaborating with product and design to deliver delightful user experiences at massive scale.

You will own major projects from design through launch, mentor peers, and help shape backend architectures for mobile and web clients, stressing observability and reliability.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience building user-facing applications.
• Experience with product metrics, designing experiments, and analytics tools.
• Proficiency in one or more general-purpose languages (Python/Go/Swift/Kotlin/Rust/C#).
• Experience using GenAI to boost engineering productivity.
• BS degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to build new features for Reddit’s Home Experience.
• Mentor engineers, shape coding standards, and improve developer workflows.
• Own end-to-end development cycle for major projects from design to launch.
• Contribute to backend service architecture for native mobile and web clients.
