Job summary

Reddit’s Home Experience team owns the high-traffic Feed pages on apps and web. You’ll partner with product, design and other engineers to build new features that users love, improve developer workflows, and mentor teammates.

You’ll own the full development cycle from design to launch, writing code and design docs, and ensuring delivery across backend services for mobile and web clients. You should bring a strong user-experience focus, be self-directed, and communicate effectively in a fully

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience building user-facing software
• Experience designing and analyzing experiments with product metrics
• Proficiency in one or more general-purpose languages (Python, Go, Swift, Kotlin, Rust, C#)
• Experience using GenAI to boost engineering productivity
• Nice to have ML integration experience
• BS degree in CS or equivalent
• Strong focus on user experience and usability, with social features awareness

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to build novel features loved by users
• Mentor engineers, set standards, and improve developer workflows
• Own end-to-end development cycle: design, code, test, experiment, analyze, and launch
• Contribute to backend architecture supporting mobile and web clients
• Drive metrics-led execution and operational excellence
