Job summary

Affirm is a remote-first company seeking a software engineer who can ship web apps with React or Vue, and mobile apps with React Native. You will design, develop and launch APIs at scale using Kotlin or Python, and contribute to a collaborative product development process.

You will break down work into phases, support operations and on-call efforts, and engage in growth activities like participating in interviews while maintaining strong cross-team communication.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience shipping web apps with React or Vue.
• Experience shipping mobile apps with React Native.
• Experience designing, developing and launching APIs at scale (Kotlin or Python).
• Ability to transform simple problems into well-structured solutions with clear, well-tested code.

Responsibilities

• Break down larger projects into tasks and deliver in phases.
• Collaborate with product, design & analytics on ideation and constraints.
• Support operations and on-call efforts; monitor metrics.
