Job summary

NinjaOne is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to our IT Operations product suite, designing and implementing scalable solutions. You will develop high-quality software for millions of endpoints, in a role that blends individual coding with collaboration across teams.

You will work with Java, Kotlin, C++, and Postgres in a scalable AWS cloud environment, delivering mission-critical services while maintaining a strong focus on quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or equivalent.
• 10+ years' experience in Java software development for product applications; Kotlin preferred.
• 4+ years' experience with highly scalable software systems.
• Experience scaling systems and solving scale challenges.
• Knowledge of API best practices and REST service development (Jersey/Spring).
• Relational database design and development experience.
• Experience client/server development for responsive messaging.
• Caching systems expertise; Redis experience desirable.
• Expert knowledge of quality testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop large-scale software applications in Java and Kotlin.
• Commit code and ship products; implement design patterns in enterprise software, at scale.
• Collaborate with engineers to meet quality-first standards.
• Participate in other duties as needed.
