This remote, full-time position emphasizes Agile collaboration, continuous improvement, and mentoring junior engineers while delivering high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Shipped production software in Python and Java.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and cloud/microservices.

Responsibilities

• Design robust solutions for complex projects and build scalable software applications that power new business initiatives.
• Write, test, and implement efficient, maintainable code that meets quality standards and performance requirements.
• Work within an Agile environment, respond to change quickly, re-focus development efforts, and adapt to evolving requirements.
• Manage projects from conception through deployment with minimal supervision, owning technical decisions and outcomes.
• Perform code audits, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the development lifecycle to ensure high-quality, maintainable applications.
• Audit existing systems, identify optimization opportunities, and advocate for technical improvements across the team.
• Guide and mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing code reviews, technical guidance, and professional development support.
• Advocate for continuous improvements, influence technical decisions, and work as a solution-oriented partner with team members and stakeholders.
• Continuously update technical knowledge and skills to stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Make recommendations for future development options and technology choices to support business objectives.
