Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize software in a remote US-based role. You will contribute to AI-ready connectivity solutions, work in an Agile team, and help deliver production-grade systems with strong performance and reliability.

Key qualifications include extensive GoLang and Java experience, Temporal Workflow, Oracle PL/SQL, and cloud platform proficiency. You will collaborate across disciplines to ensure scalable, secure software delivery.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 4+ years with a master’s.
• Solid knowledge of software development methodologies and coding practices.
• Experience in Agile practices: planning, grooming, sprint, daily standups, retros.
• Proficiency in GoLang and Java; strong cloud experience.
• Experience with Temporal Workflow and Oracle RDBMS (PL/SQL).
• Unix/Linux shell scripting and API services familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in an Agile Scrum team to design, develop, test, and debug new software or significant enhancements.
• Work with business partners and technical staff to meet requirements.
• Define and implement automated tests with product developers.
• Document work for transparency and reuse.
• Build production-quality enterprise systems achieving target SLAs for scalability and performance.
• Participate in code reviews and manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Demonstrate accountability for timely completion of tasks.
