Job summary

Tenex.AI, an AI-native MDR startup in San Jose, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to own core backend and frontend initiatives across the stack, delivering scalable, secure systems. You’ll balance individual contributions with technical leadership, collaborating with product and design to define features and architecture.

Candidates should have 5+ years of professional software experience with Go or Python, React/Next.js, strong SQL, cloud (GCP/AWS), and a track record delivering end-to-end

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in backend languages Go or Python.
• Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, TypeScript).
• Strong relational database experience (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS).
• Proven ability to own complex projects end-to-end.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services and APIs.
• Build and maintain frontend applications with strong UX.
• Own projects end-to-end from architecture to deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with product, design, and other engineers on new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable code and participate in reviews.
• Improve engineering processes, tools, and team practices.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and bring new ideas.
