Job description

The Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for independently developing and consistently redesigning / refactoring a product to adapt to our customers and associates' needs. As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team with engineers of all experience levels who help each other build and grow technical and leadership skills while creating, deploying, and supporting production applications. In addition, Sr. Software Engineers may be involved in product and tool selection, configuration, security, resilience, performance tuning, and production monitoring as well as mentoring less experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Delivery and Execution (50%): Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software with a clear understanding of its value; take on new opportunities and challenges with urgency and enthusiasm; develop test suites for success and rapid deployment; approach issues broadly with a global perspective.
2. Learns and Grows (20%): Learn through experiments, seek growth opportunities through formal and informal channels.
3. Plans and Aligns (20%): Collaborate in agile processes; ensure user stories are valuable and testable; communicate effectively to diverse audiences; adapt approaches to shifting demands; relate openly with diverse groups.
4. Supports and Enables (10%): Mentor junior engineers; provide guidance on modern development frameworks and lead technical discussions.

Reporting Structure :

• Typically reports to a Software Engineer Manager or Sr. Manager.
• Has no direct reports.

Travel Requirements :

No travel required.

Physical Requirements :

• Primarily sitting with opportunities to move; occasional lifting of light articles.

Working Conditions :

• Indoor, comfortable environment; infrequent unpleasant conditions.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Must be 18 or older.
• Legally permitted to work in the U.S.
