Job summary

SIVAD Consulting is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our AI-native operating system initiative for mortgage servicing. This remote role emphasizes ownership of backend features, scalable systems, and collaboration with Product and Design.

You will work with Python, React, Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform to build robust infrastructure and ship production code. 3–10 years of experience and strong communication are required; experience with AI tooling is a plus.

Senior Software Engineer (Remote)

Salary range: $210,000 to $285,000

Location: New York, NY; San Francisco, CA

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with 3-10 years of experience to join our rapidly growing engineering team building the AI-native operating system for mortgage servicing. We've recently signed multiple large enterprise customers and need strong backend engineers who can own features end-to-end and pass a high technical bar.

Responsibilities

• Owning features end-to-end in a startup environment with high autonomy
• Building and scaling backend systems that handle billions of dollars in mortgage transactions
• Leveraging AI tools to write and ship production code (human-reviewed, AI-assisted)
• Design and build robust and extensible infrastructure to handle evolving and complex federal, state, and agency regulations
• Work with Product and Design to define the best experience for our customers
• Dive deep into understanding the inner workings of a highly complex industry
• Learn new concepts and technologies quickly and apply them to challenging problems
• Work across product and platform/infrastructure teams based on team matching

Ideal Background

• 4+ years of software engineering experience building quality software applications at scale
• Strong communicator. Able to work cross-functionally to balance product and technical requirements
• Proficient with AI coding tools (CoPilot, Cursor, etc.) in daily development workflow
• System design experience for large-scale distributed systems
• Strong DSA and algorithm fundamentals - must be able to hand-code solutions without AI assistance
• Bachelor's degree in computer science preferred
• Great at building scalable systems from scratch with a fast turnaround
• Experience with one or more of the following: web application development, mobile application development, building large-scale distributed systems, or infrastructure management
• Time management skills that will maximize efficiency in a fast-paced startup environment
