Job summary

Aerostar, a business unit of TCOM, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build production-grade single-page applications and the services that power them. You will work across frontend and backend systems to deliver robust, data-driven software for high-altitude balloon operations used by U.S.

military and internal flight teams. You’ll contribute to real-time telemetry integration, mission workflows, and a strong engineering culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of career experience in software engineering, or 3+ years with a master’s degree.
• Experience delivering production-grade web applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement key components of data-driven single-page applications.
• Build backend services, APIs, and data flows that support real-time telemetry and operational workflows.
• Contribute to technical design discussions for full-stack features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across the stack.
• Identify and address performance, reliability, and maintainability issues.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teammates to deliver high-quality software.
