Job summary

Aerostar, a business unit of TCOM, seeks a Staff Software Engineer to translate customer needs into technical concepts and compelling business cases. You will lead architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and coordinate with Business Development on bids and solutions for balloon and radar systems.

The role requires strong C/C++, Linux kernel skills, Linux scripting, and production-grade Linux development, with at least 8 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related field is required.
• 8+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 6+ years with a master’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer missions and requirements and translate them into actionable concepts.
• Lead major architectural decisions and drive the long-term technical vision.
• Mentor junior engineers and oversee work assignments.
• Interface with Business Development to align technical solutions with customer needs and bids.
• Develop and maintain Linux-based software in production environments.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver scalable, maintainable systems.
• Ensure ISO-compliant software project processes where applicable.
