Qualifications

• 3 years of professional experience with C++20 and strong C++ skills, templates, move semantics and framework design.
• Experience designing internal APIs and frameworks with backward-compatibility and ergonomics.
• Solid understanding of memory management, shared libraries, ABI stability, linking, OS interfaces.
• Familiarity with Linux-based C++ development toolchains and performance-sensitive code.

Responsibilities

• Model authoring tools: help stand up UI for authoring and tuning Mission Sim models and extend extension APIs with GUI team.
• Maintain a custom ECS-backed simulator architecture and support entity lifecycle, storage, and update loop.
• Develop plugins and SDKs, preserving a versioned C ABI for external extensions.
• Keep the simulation loop fast for real-time and faster-than-real-time execution with many entities.
• Support integration with gRPC services, DIS interoperability, networking, and file recording for analysis.
• Assist domain experts in integrating and enhancing capability models.
