Job summary

Created Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-reliability software systems for defense and aerospace programs. You will provide technical leadership across the software lifecycle, delivering robust, secure, and scalable solutions for mission-critical applications.

You will collaborate with systems, electrical, and mechanical engineers to ensure software integrates with hardware and system-level requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required; Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in C++, C, Python, or Java.
• Experience with embedded systems, real-time software, or high-reliability applications.
• Familiarity with Linux-based development and modern software workflows.
• Experience with Git and software testing/debugging.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software for defense/aerospace systems (embedded, real-time, application-level).
• Translate system requirements into maintainable code.
• Collaborate with systems/hardware teams for full-system integration.
• Lead architecture decisions, reviews, and trade studies.
• Enforce software quality, testing, docs, and configuration management.
• Support integration, verification, validation, and troubleshooting.
