Innovative Systems & Solutions (ISS) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for an onsite role in Annapolis Junction, MD. The candidate will develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems, working individually or in a team to meet requirements and performance targets for government and DoD clients.

The role emphasizes design, coding, debugging, and integration within a rigorous development process. The ideal candidate has fourteen years of SWE experience, a bachelor's degree in CS or

Qualifications

• Fourteen (14) years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Salary range 210-215k is provided as a general guideline.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
• Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
• Develop or implement algorithms to meet system performance and standards.
• Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
• Write or review software and system documentation.
• Oversee one or more software development teams and ensure work is completed per process.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
