Job summary
Innovative Systems & Solutions seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD, onsite, to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems supporting DoD and federal missions. The candidate will work on analytics, data processing, and real-time components within diverse teams, applying modern development practices and trade-off decisions.
Experience: 14+ years in SWE with a related degree, strong Java, MapReduce, cloud, and system-design skills.
Qualifications
- 14+ years of SWE experience in programs/contracts of similar scope and complexity.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or 4 years extra SWE experience in lieu of a degree.
- Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
- Design and code new software or modify existing software to add features.
- Debug software and correct defects.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems.
- Review and test components for adherence to design requirements.
- Provide input to system design including software/hardware trade-offs.
- Lead the team at the level appropriate to the process used on the project.
- Coordinate software installation and monitor equipment to meet specs.
