Job summary

BioIntelliSense is seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain our data platform, enabling internal and external apps and dashboards. You will work primarily with Python on Databricks and AWS, delivering scalable data pipelines and REST APIs to support clinical workflows and internal tools.

The role emphasizes data quality, collaboration with clinical and engineering teams, and contributing to a platform used for medical-grade monitoring and analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Experience developing software applications, including internships or academic projects.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively, with a strong capacity to interpret and execute abstract instructions.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to product improvements.
• Solid knowledge of Python.
• Solid understanding of SQL fundamentals, including joins and aggregations.

Responsibilities

• Develop data pipelines and cloud-native applications using Python on Databricks and AWS.
• Create scalable REST APIs and web apps to support workflows and internal tools.
• Design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, clean, and transform clinical data.
• Implement data validation and quality checks for reliable reporting.
• Collaborate with a technical lead, product, and cross-functional teams to streamline operations and add value.
• Participate in on-call rotation to ensure high service availability.
• Apply software development best practices to bring product requirements to deployment.
