Job summary

U.S. Soccer Federation is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to provide hands-on technical leadership for shared platform capabilities powering Soccer Services and Learning Center experiences.

This role requires senior-level experience in full-stack development, architecture judgment, and mentoring across teams. Based at the National Training Center, the engineer will design reusable components, services, and data models, working across identity, content, and admin systems to deliver scalable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of professional software-engineering experience building and operating production applications.
• Strong HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript or TypeScript skills, plus server-side language experience.
• Experience designing maintainable service boundaries, web APIs, and data integrations.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, and secure production operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and end-to-end delivery of production capabilities across Soccer.
• Develop services and Learning Center components with scalable back-end APIs and content workflows.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into practical delivery plans.
• Establish reusable platform building blocks and patterns for cross-product adoption.
• Lead incident response, testing standards, and reliable production operations.
