Job summary

U.S. Soccer is seeking a systems-oriented full-stack Software Engineer to build reusable platform components powering Soccer Services and the Learning Center experiences across education, licensing, and admin workflows.

You will move between UI, server-side workflows, APIs, data, integrations, and production support, collaborating with product, content, operations, and subject-matter experts to deliver scalable software that meets security and accessibility standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or related field.
• 3+ years building and operating production web applications.
• Strong HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript; server-side language experience.
• Experience designing, consuming and troubleshooting web APIs; relational databases.
• Maintainable software design, automated testing, version control, CI/CD.
• Secure, privacy-aware, responsive, accessible digital experiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with Jira and Microsoft 365.
• Ability to work in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.
• Background in soccer or willingness to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Own production features end to end across Soccer Services and Learning Center.
• Create reusable platform components and workflow patterns for multi-product use.
• Deliver learner- and administrator-facing experiences including dashboards and courses.
• Develop responsive, accessible UI and backend services with scalable data models.
• Build and maintain integrations across identity, content, learning, and analytics.
• Collaborate with product, design, operations, and subject-matter experts to define requirements.
• Ensure security, privacy, and data integrity; monitor production health and fix incidents.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural planning, and disciplined releases.
