Job summary

LGC PT, a support services provider within the API and proficiency testing ecosystem, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead design, modernization, and ongoing support of critical software systems that underpin API operations. You will shape architecture, promote best practices, and contribute to the long‑term technology roadmap.

The role emphasizes strong coding, system design, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, maintainable software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience or equivalent expertise.
• Expertise in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and system design.
• Experience with databases, APIs, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and microservices architecture.
• Deep understanding of SDLC and modern engineering practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to handle ambiguity.
• Experience leading or mentoring development teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, modernization, and maintenance of enterprise software applications.
• Influence and guide architectural decisions to ensure scalability, reliability, performance, and security.
• Advise leadership on strategic technology choices and emerging technologies.
• Contribute to creating and executing the technology roadmap.
