About the Role

We are looking for Senior Software Engineers to help us build robust and scalable systems that power our security platform. As a Senior Software Engineer - Platform at Ghost, you will lead the development, testing, and deployment of our event detection platform built primarily with Go. You'll be working closely with our detections engineering team and our threat research team to create highly performant and highly accurate security event detection engine. If you have a solid background in developing performant platforms and services, advanced to expert level experience with Go, and are ready take on a senior level development role, we want to meet you.

Ghost is growing fast and the engineering team is no exception. The role is fully engaged - you will be writing highly resilient code, setting development standards, and guiding/mentoring other members of the platform engineering team. You'll need to be comfortable collaborating closely with other engineers, product managers, and design partner customers to deliver an exceptional user experience for our customers.

About You

• Obsessed with writing high quality, performant, tested code in Go
• Experienced at building Go applications integrated in-memory datastores, relational databases, and cloud-native datastores
• Experienced at building Go applications integrated with event streaming libraries and high-volume event data
• Capable of mentoring and providing support and guidance for other team members
• Experienced at leading pair programming sessions
• Familiar with shipping code in a modern, containerized, continuous delivery environment
• Comfortable working in an asynchronous, distributed team environment with team members in different time zones
• Capable of giving and receiving iterative feedback through code reviews and collaborative development
• Able to respond to changing requirements efficiently and adjust goals and timelines accordingly
• Have demonstrable work product hosted online (e.g. code repos, projects, or portfolios)
• Have experience building and deploying software in a cloud environment - Google Cloud is a plus
