Job summary

Check is rebuilding payroll infrastructure to power businesses that process payroll. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll help build features for money movement, tax calculations, and compliance workflows, turning complex infrastructure into clear, reliable systems for partners and thousands of payees.

You'll join a culture of ownership and cross-functional collaboration, with options for remote, hybrid, or on-site work from New York City or San Francisco offices.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience building complex systems for regulated environments.
• Ability to work autonomously on cross-functional projects.
• Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders and customers.
• Proficiency with Python/Django, React, TypeScript, AWS, Terraform, Postgres is expected.
