Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and operate distributed payment orchestration services for omni-channel orders. You will integrate IBM Sterling OMS with downstream processors and run event-driven microservices on GKE and PCF, ensuring reliable payment state management.

Responsibilities include delivering software, writing tests, collaborating with the Product Team, and guiding junior engineers while improving observability and security in high-volume production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 3+ years building distributed microservices in production.
• Backend development with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with IBM Sterling OMS and API integrations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, test, deploy, and maintain microservices with focus on payment workflows.
• Ensure resilience, observability, and high-volume transaction reliability.
• Collaborate with Product Team to ensure user stories are valuable and testable.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead technical discussions.
