About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Partner Onboarding team, you will build industry‑first products that enable businesses to launch their 401(k) plans in as little as five minutes, driving our business growth. You will collaborate with domain experts to design, build, test, and own systems and processes for servicing 401(k) plans and ensuring customer satisfaction. Reliability is key, so you will deliver robust, observable, maintainable, and scalable systems.

• Design, build, and maintain user experiences for external and internal customers
• Work on business‑critical foundational services that serve as the data funnel of the platform
• Improve complex processes and systems to reduce manual intervention and increase robustness
• Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to share knowledge and build expertise
• Develop ownership over system domains and make informed engineering trade‑offs
• Advocate for and delight both internal and external users
• Lead AI agents throughout the development lifecycle, acting as architect and decision‑maker when AI handles building tasks
• Explore opportunities to automate repetitive engineering work and improve code quality using AI tooling

What you bring to the role

• 6+ years of experience building and maintaining production software
• Proficiency with Node, TypeScript, React, AWS, and PostgreSQL
• Experience leveraging AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or ChatGPT to accelerate development and enhance code quality
• Strong communication skills, able to converse with engineers and non‑engineers alike
• Creative, self‑motivated learner who shares knowledge and mentors others
• Proactive, empathetic, and willing to roll up sleeves to solve customer problems
• Past experience in startup or fintech environments

Compensation

The base salary for this position ranges from $190,000 to $235,000, adjusted for geographic location. Additional compensation may include bonuses, commissions, and equity.
