Job description

Human Interest is on a mission to ensure that people in all lines of work have access to retirement benefits.

More than half of all working Americans are not saving enough for their future. Too often, it’s because they are employed by a company that doesn’t offer a retirement plan. Human Interest is changing that by making it affordable and accessible for small and medium-sized businesses to offer employees a path to financial independence through retirement savings.

We’re a high-growth fintech company changing the retirement industry. We are backed by a number of investors. This includes funding from Marshall Wace and Baillie Gifford, as well as top investors such as BlackRock, TPG (The Rise Fund), SoftBank, Glynn Capital, NewView Capital, USVP, Wing, Uncork, and more.

About the role

As a Dedicated Sales Activation Manager, you will lead a dynamic team of sales activation specialists responsible for driving efficiency, velocity, and customer satisfaction throughout the onboarding process for our fast track operations and white label partners. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and has a passion for optimizing processes, managing performance, and exceeding aggressive targets.
You will be accountable for hitting key performance metrics, identifying and solving operational blockers, and leading your team to consistently launch a high volume of plans while delivering an exceptional customer experience. If you are energized by metrics, people development, and fast-changing environments, this is the opportunity for you. We move at 24,791 mph - you should be ready to lead at speed.

What you get to do every day

  • Lead, coach, and inspire a team of dedicated sales activation specialists to exceed individual and team-based monthly quotas.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive a high volume of successful plan launches each month, in alignment with departmental KPIs and business goals.
  • Own team performance by closely inspecting onboarding pipelines, managing pre-launch churn, and ensuring adherence to process and talk tracks.
  • Actively monitor and optimize onboarding workflows to increase velocity, remove bottlenecks, and drive operational excellence.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Program Management, Customer Success, and senior leadership to resolve customer escalations and continuously improve the onboarding experience.
  • Identify performance gaps within your team and implement coaching, enablement, and process improvements to drive results.
  • Forecast onboarding targets and contribute to capacity planning by analyzing trends and pipeline health.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement while fostering a fun, energetic, and collaborative team environment.

What success looks like

  • Achieve and exceed monthly onboarding quota targets for your team.
  • Ensure a healthy mix of plan types (e.g., Safe Harbor and Auto-Enroll) to meet internal performance benchmarks.
  • Consistently minimize pre-launch churn by proactively identifying and resolving customer pain points.
  • Improve onboarding cycle times and conversion rates through process optimization and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Establish your team as a key driver of customer activation and revenue acceleration within Human Interest.
  • Champion a culture of excellence and psychological safety, empowering the team to hit ambitious targets while feeling supported.

What you bring to the role

  • Possess knowledge and experience with retirement plan design, particularly in 401(k) plans
  • 3+ years of customer implementation or sales experience in a SaaS environment or retirement industry
  • Proven track record of success in a quota-carrying and target-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of 401(k) plan design or the ability to quickly develop subject-matter expertise.
  • Highly data-driven mindset with expertise in pipeline management, forecasting, and performance coaching.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to drive action in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to optimize processes, improve operational efficiency, and execute against aggressive targets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a knack for motivating teams, resolving conflict, and collaborating across departments.
  • Experience managing high-volume customer portfolios and overseeing complex projects or implementations.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or a related discipline preferred.
