Job description

Human Interest is on a mission to ensure that people in all lines of work have access to retirement benefits.

More than half of all working Americans are not saving enough for their future. Too often, it’s because they are employed by a company that doesn’t offer a retirement plan. Human Interest is changing that by making it affordable and accessible for small and medium-sized businesses to offer employees a path to financial independence through retirement savings.

We’re a high-growth fintech company changing the retirement industry. We are backed by a number of investors. This includes funding from Marshall Wace and Baillie Gifford, as well as top investors such as BlackRock, TPG (The Rise Fund), SoftBank, Glynn Capital, NewView Capital, USVP, Wing, Uncork, and more.

About The Role

As a Dedicated Sales Activation Specialist, you will support the setup and launch of our new clients 401(k) plans while representing our White Label partners. This joint effort means you'll be on the front lines with our new clients/partners, working with a wide variety of companies (anything from the local plumber to the nationwide robotics firm), helping them set up and launch their new 401(k) plans. You'll own keeping the sales activation process on-track while ensuring that customers and partners are engaged and happy. Process-driven and people-focused - you are organized, friendly and flexible. You will be accountable for hitting key performance metrics, identifying and escalating operational blockers to consistently launch a high volume of plans while delivering an exceptional customer experience. If you are energized by helping business owners meet their goals, being challenged with monthly targets, and fast-changing environments, this is the opportunity for you. We move at 24,791 mph - you should be ready to lead at speed.

What You Get To Do Every Day
  • Communicate extensively with our customers to identify their needs and help them establish their 401(k) plans
  • Educate, guide, and inform our newly signed customers about the choices they have to help their employees save for retirement
  • Meet monthly activation targets by closely working client pipelines, managing client timelines, objection handling to keep clients in the flow and ensuring adherence to process and talk tracks.
  • Actively follow onboarding workflows to increase velocity, remove bottlenecks, and drive operational excellence.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams and Leadership to resolve customer escalations and continuously improve the sales activation experience.
  • Work cross-functionally within our organization (specifically with sales and account management) to make sure customer needs are met
  • Drive processes forward, managing internal and external stakeholders to keep our customers engaged, happy, and on-track
  • Communicate professionally to both internal and external clients while focusing on needs-driven solutions
  • Identify potential areas for process improvement to help the team scale
What you bring to the role
  • Possess knowledge and experience with retirement plan design, particularly in 401(k) plans
  • 3+ years of customer implementation or sales experience in a SaaS environment or retirement industry
  • A “people person” who truly enjoys interacting with clients and can communicate difficult concepts fluidly
  • Energy and passion - the concept of onboarding 40-50+ customers a month excites you - velocity is everything!
  • A strong work ethic, proactively following up with our customers and keeping them on track
  • Excellent organizational skills, are able juggle multiple tasks with varying deadlines and stakeholders without dropping the ball
  • A desire for learning new programs, systems, and expanding your knowledge about the retirement industry and our product
  • A strong focus on quality
  • Ability to easily adapt to various client systems and user interfaces and troubleshoot software issues as they arise
  • Strong PC skills, including experience working with G-Suite products
  • Ability to easily adapt to various client systems and user interfaces and troubleshoot software issues as they arise
