Job summary

IT Minds LLC in Orlando, FL is seeking a hands-on Senior .NET Engineer to design, develop, and modernize mission-critical shipboard applications used across HR, labor, training, safety, and finance operations.

You will work closely with engineering leads, offshore teams, product managers, and stakeholders to troubleshoot, deliver enhancements, and support modernization efforts. The role requires 5+ years of .NET experience and strong REST/WCF knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional .NET development experience.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and WCF.
• Experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle databases.
• Experience with Azure DevOps/GitLab/GitHub Actions/Jenkins for CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug, and enhance .NET applications.
• Support L2/L3 production issues, incident resolution, and RCA.
• Develop and maintain WCF services, REST APIs, and WPF applications.
• Work with .NET Framework, .NET Core/6+, C#, and ASP.NET Web API.
• Build applications designed to operate in offline/disconnected shipboard environments.
• Collaborate with offshore teams and cross-functional business/technical teams.

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Senior .NET Engineer to support and enhance mission-critical shipboard applications used across Crew HR, labor, training, safety, and finance operations.

The engineer will work closely with engineering leads, Level 3 support, offshore teams, product managers, and business stakeholders to troubleshoot existing applications, deliver enhancements, and support modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain WCF services, REST APIs, and WPF applications.

• Production support, debugging, and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with Azure DevOps/GitLab/GitHub Actions/Jenkins.
• Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools such as Splunk, Grafana, AppDynamics, or ELK.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Shipboard, distributed, or offline-capable application experience.

Education
