Job summary
Global Payments seeks a Senior Software Engineer - .NET (Full Stack) to join the Launchpad team. You will design and build RESTful APIs and UI components, mentor engineers, and drive quality through automated testing and code reviews.
You’ll work on migrations to modern .NET platforms, ensure secure authentication/authorization, and collaborate in an Agile environment across global teams. The role offers a hybrid schedule in Cincinnati or Denver and a competitive compensation package.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of software development experience in enterprise environments.
- 6+ years of hands-on C# development with .NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API, ASP.NET Core, and modern .NET platforms.
- Experience leading modernization initiatives including migrations to .NET Core/.NET and cloud-ready solutions.
- Extensive knowledge of EF, LINQ, SQL Server, authentication/authorization, and web security best practices.
- Proficiency with Git, CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing, and security tooling.
Responsibilities

Launchpad is a Worldpay application designed to streamline merchant onboarding. It collects all necessary merchant details, enabling businesses to quickly start accepting credit card payments and settle transactions on the Worldpay platform. Launchpad includes both a user-friendly UI and robust API components to support seamless integration.
What you’ll own
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, backend services, and integrations with internal and external systems.
Create reusable UI components, libraries, and shared services to improve development efficiency and consistency.
Develop and execute unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
Participate in code reviews, technical design sessions, architecture discussions, and sprint planning activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, production issues, and performance bottlenecks.
What you’ll bring
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience, with 8+ years of software development experience in enterprise application environments.
6+ years of hands-on C# development experience with deep expertise in .NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API, ASP.NET Core, and modern .NET platforms (.NET Core/.NET 8+).
Proven experience leading application modernization initiatives, including large-scale migrations from .NET Framework 4.x to .NET Core/.NET, enabling cloud-ready, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
Extensive knowledge of Entity Framework, LINQ, SQL Server, relational database design, authentication, authorization, and web security best practices.
Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, automated testing (unit and integration), and code quality/security tools including Snyk, Checkmarx, and BlackDuck.
Strong technical leadership, analytical problem-solving, and communication skills, with experience mentoring engineers and delivering solutions in Agile development environments.

Worldpay is dedicated to offering individuals rewarding career opportunities and competitive compensation. For this full-time position, the good faith estimated annual salary range upon hire is $113,600.00-$171,575.00. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to offer based on the role’s responsibilities, level, and geographic location. The actual starting salary will be determined by a candidate’s experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Please note that changes in work location may impact the final offered salary. We encourage you to consult with your recruiter to confirm the budget for your location and to better understand the applicable pay scale. This position is eligible for bonus.
