Job summary

Dice is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop and extend enterprise applications, provide technical leadership, and mentor the team. You will work in an Agile Scrum environment building cross‑platform apps using .NET, C#, WPF, Xamarin Forms, MVVM, XAML, XML, and JSON.

You will own projects, participate in architecture decisions, support customer implementations, and ensure high‑quality solutions on the CORE platform with a range of peripherals and workflows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with .NET/C# for Windows, desktop, and mobile apps.
• Strong expertise in .NET Framework and C#.
• Experience across the full SDLC.
• Familiarity with Xamarin or WPF.
• Experience developing POS solutions for kiosks, counters, or handheld devices.
• Experience with CORE platforms such as Essential, ECP7, or Riposte.
• Experience with at least three peripherals (scanners, printers, etc.).
• Post-secondary degree in CS or Software Engineering.
• Ability to obtain required security clearance.

Responsibilities

Job Description A Global Software Engineering company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop and extend business applications for enterprise clients while providing technical leadership and mentorship to the development team. Working within an Agile Scrum environment, you will build and enhance applications across desktop and mobile platforms, including WPF, UWP, iOS, and Android. This role combines hands‑on software development with project ownership, client engagement, and solution design. You will contribute to architecture decisions, lead technical discussions, support customer implementations, and help deliver high-quality applications built on the CORE platform. Technologies include .NET, C#, WPF, Xamarin Forms, MVVM, XAML, XML, and JSON.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of software development experience using .NET/C# for Windows, desktop, and mobile applications.
• Strong expertise with Microsoft .NET Framework and C#.
• Experience working through the full software development lifecycle.
• Knowledge of Xamarin or WPF.
• Experience developing POS solutions for counters, kiosks, or handheld devices.
• Experience with at least one CORE platform, including Essential, ECP7, or Riposte Application.
• Experience with at least three peripherals such as scanners, CDUs, receipt printers, or label printers.
• Experience supporting workflows including payment, mailing, receipts, and PUDO.
• Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Must be able to meet security clearance requirements.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with .NET Core.
• Knowledge of PCL and Shared Code architectures.
• Strong experience with WPF, MVVM, and XAML.
• Experience developing Xamarin Forms applications for iOS, Android, Windows Phone, and UWP.

What You Will Be Doing

Daily Responsibilities

• 100% Hands On
• Develop and extend software features for customer solutions built on the CORE platform.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Write and maintain unit tests.
• Take technical ownership of assigned customer projects.
• Lead client reviews, demonstrations, and project presentations.
• Assist with the architecture and design of new features and application enhancements.
• Perform application performance tuning and optimization.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards.
• Mentor and support other members of the development team.
• Make changes to the CORE framework when required and serve as a subject matter expert for selected peripherals and workflows.
