Job summary

Helion is seeking an experienced software engineer to join a collaborative agile team. You will contribute to enterprise-scale solutions using C#/.NET, EF Core and SQL Server on Azure, with frontend work in TypeScript and React.

You will participate in all stages of development, mentor junior staff, and ensure scalable, fault-tolerant implementations while adhering to best practices and security standards.

Qualifications

• 5 years proficiency in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns in scalable, highly available systems.
• 5 years in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, ACE, IIB/ITX, Informatica) and experience with at least two of: React, Angular v4+, NodeJS, NoSQL, HTML5/CSS, GCP or AWS.
• 5 years understanding of web services technologies such as REST, HTTPS, JSON
• 5 years with one or more general purpose programming languages including Java, Python, C/C++, C#, JavaScript, or Go
• 5 years in defining system architectures and exploring trade-offs for short-term execution and long-term capabilities

Responsibilities

• Design and write engineering specifications for software applications and programs, and ensure code adheres to standards.
• Explore and implement technical solutions to achieve product features while safeguarding scalability and performance.
• Participate in all scrum ceremonies and assist in sprint planning to complete required work.
• Drive story creation with DoD, Acceptance Criteria, and estimation; manage tasks in RTC or Jira.
• Monitor progress against schedule and report issues to leads and Scrum Master as needed.
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to team skill development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
