Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our application software team. You will own critical software platforms that support launch vehicle production, Starship manufacturing software, and Starlink operations, helping accelerate space missions and consumer connectivity.

You will work with diverse engineers to design, implement, test, and deploy systems with a focus on reliability, performance, and rapid iteration in a high-impact environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience; or 7+ years of professional experience in lieu of a degree.
• 3+ years of professional experience in full stack development

Responsibilities

• Develop highly reliable software solutions that are used across SpaceX
• Create new applications that improve how SpaceX operates
• Build prototypes to prove out key design concepts and quantify technical constraints
• Own all aspects of software engineering and product development
• Deep dive into your users’ problems to find and create efficient solutions
• Bring your voice to the table in team collaborations on architecture, design, and code reviews
