Job summary

CA CI, based in Sterling, VA, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You will design and implement scalable, full-stack web applications for counter unmanned systems, focusing on infrastructure, capabilities, and sustainable software solutions.

You will own the full development lifecycle from concept to deployment, delivering production-ready software with a customer-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Experience developing applications for commercial cloud technologies (AWS GovCloud).
• Familiarity with Web technologies: Java, JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, CSS, Groovy, Grails, Angular.
• Familiarity with backend development: Python and Java.
• Experience with Software as a Service, Microservices, Containerization, cross-browser compatibility, Web UI design, security principles, OO design, and Web Services.
• StrongDevOps experience with tools like Nexus, Artifactory, Jenkins, Harbor, Docker.
• Experience leading Agile methodologies and generating basis of estimates (BOEs).
• Experience supporting mission-critical systems with high uptime requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop full-stack web applications with technical leadership on software architecture.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and responsive user interfaces.
• Collaborate with program management, customers, and engineering teams to execute software lifecycles and roadmaps.
• Lead business readiness activities and translate designs into production-ready code.
• Deploy and maintain mission-critical systems using DevOps tools and containerization to ensure high uptime and performance.
• Debug issues, conduct code reviews, and improve reliability and performance.
• Gather requirements and produce basis of estimates for work.
