Job summary

Intuitive is seeking an engineer to join the Automation, Equipment and Test (AET) Team in Sunnyvale, CA. You will design and implement software for semi-automated electro-mechanical systems used in manufacturing robotic surgical instruments and accessories.

You will collaborate across product development, systems, electrical, mechanical, and quality engineering to ensure reliable performance and safety in production.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement software for equipment that builds and tests robotic medical devices.
• Build and maintain software infrastructures to enable data extraction from the manufacturing process.
• Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure product operations and controls remain reliable in volume production.
• Document and perform IQOQPQ and DQ validation on manufacturing equipment.
• Follow good software development practices and mentor junior engineers.
