Job summary

Fleetio is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Marketplace team to design and implement features that connect fleets with maintenance shops, transactions, and data services. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to ship reliable software that scales with our growing Marketplace offering.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years with Ruby on Rails.
• 2+ years with ReactJS and TypeScript.
• Strong object-oriented design and PostgreSQL experience.
• Experience integrating with external systems, APIs, and webhooks.
• Experience data modeling and optimizing query performance.
• Proven architectural problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and implement features to build out the Marketplace offering.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to deliver high-quality software.
• Engage in collaborative design and architecture of features.
• Deliver well-tested, maintainable, and performant code.
• Research, prototype, and spikes to validate assumptions and feasibility.
• Contribute to planning processes with a strong voice and knowledge sharing.
• Thoroughly review peers' code to ensure quality and consistency.
