Mercury is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Mercury Command in a role that spans the full stack and LLM-powered workflows. You will design and ship new Command skills, shape multi-step agentic interactions, and own capabilities end-to-end from system prompts to UI rendering.

You will maintain the prompt architecture, tune model behavior, and stay current with model evolutions, delivering reliable, scalable experiences for payments, invoices, and cash flow tasks.

Competenze

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with deep technical expertise building and scaling LLM-powered applications in production.
• Experience scaling an LLM-powered product and addressing reliability and performance.
• Experience designing agentic systems and multi-step workflows that are reliable, explainable, and safe.
• Experience building eval infrastructure and writing test cases that measure product success over model outputs.
• Understanding latency, cost, and compliance tradeoffs in production deployments.
• Belief in trustworthy AI and ability to work toward that bar.
• Comfort with TypeScript and willingness to learn Haskell for backend tooling.
• Ability to work across the full stack from system prompts to frontend streaming.
• Mentoring engineers and raising technical standards.
