Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead design, development, and deployment of advanced software for material handling systems. You will architect scalable solutions integrating with WCS, WIS, and WMS, and mentor junior engineers to deliver high-quality software.

Responsibilities include code reviews, documentation, and staying ahead of industry trends to drive innovation in automation. A strong background in C/C++, JavaScript, Linux, and cloud platforms is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in programming languages such as C, C++, JavaScript within Linux (RHEL) server environments.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies for software development.
• Proficiency in version control with Git.
• Strong background in database design and management (Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of software for material handling systems.
• Architect scalable software solutions that integrate with WCS, WIS, and WMS.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and roadmaps.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to mid-level and junior engineers.

• Ensure robust software documentation including architecture diagrams and guides.
