Job summary

Compass is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build systems powering automated re‑engagement and unclaimed lead management. You will craft scalable, fault‑tolerant microservices and lead nurture flows across multiple channels, collaborating with data/ML teams.

You will own AWS Connect integrations and contribute to a high‑leverage Leads platform, influencing lead conversion rates and the overall pre‑CRM lifecycle. Strong CS foundations and 7+ years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of experience developing high‑performance software with Go/Java.
• Experience with Python or NodeJS development.
• Experience with gRPC, Thrift, and server‑to‑server protocols.
• Experience with Kafka and event‑driven systems for nurture pipelines.
• 3+ years using AWS / cloud technologies.
• Proficient in designing, testing, and deploying microservices.
• Adheres to best practices in software development and architecture.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the pre‑CRM nurturing pipeline with automated flows.
• Own and operate the AWS Connect integration for live engagement.
• Build and maintain unclaimed lead management and re‑engagement flows.
• Develop lead readiness scoring and trigger‑based nurture sequences.
• Collaborate with data/ML teams to incorporate behavioral signals.
• Ensure scalable, fault‑tolerant microservices with CI/CD/testing/monitoring.
• Contribute to an agile engineering culture with best practices.
