KAIROS, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of complex software/hardware/firmware for DoD programs. You will mentor engineers, coordinate with Government stakeholders, and drive technical excellence across multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a technical field, at least 10 years in defense software, and experience leading engineering teams and DoW programs. Active Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required; software or systems engineering preferred.
• At least 10 years in defense-focused software engineering and CID/C4ISR is expected.
• 5+ years leading engineering teams and DoW program management experience.
• Active Secret Security Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and integration of complex software/hardware/firmware systems.
• Coordinate with Government stakeholders and manage contract execution.
• Mentor engineers and foster a high-performing team culture.
• Oversee subcontractors and ensure on-time delivery of mission-critical capabilities.
• Guide workload planning and resource forecasting.
