Base-2 Solutions in Maryland is seeking a senior software engineer to join our team to develop advanced analytics, large-scale systems, and security-focused platforms for national defense. The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and tackling complex problems.

Candidates should have 20 years of software engineering experience, a related Bachelor's degree, and proficiency in Java, C#, C++, Python, JavaScript, and modern cloud/container technologies.

Qualifications

• 20 years experience as a software engineer is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required.
• Four (4) years of additional software engineering experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Proficiency with Java, C#, C++, JavaScript, Python, Scala, Ruby and Go.
• Experience with IDEs such as Eclipse, NetBeans, IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, Visual Studio and VS Code.
• Experience with Windows, Unix, Linux and macOS.
• Experience with Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence), GitHub and ServiceNow.
• Experience with Spring, Angular and Bootstrap.
• Experience with Oracle, MySQL and MongoDB.
• Experience with Maven and Jenkins.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Git, SVN and CVS.
• Experience with AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains, and enhances complex software systems based on requirements.
• Reviews and tests software components for adherence to design requirements.
• Resolves software problem reports.
• Provides input on system design including trade-offs and reuse.
• Collaborates with teams and uses appropriate development methodologies.
